9th September

A good days ringing today. The triangle produced a nice juv green woodpecker and the Southern edge of the lake came up trumps with 10 Sedge Warblers. Buzzard count was high, which was to be expected with the warm weather. A total of 35 sightings during the course of the day. It seems that these are local Buzzards that are coming in for a look at the tip, leaving and then an hour or so later coming back for another look. We put the total down at 15. Its impossible to tell how many. A great white egret popped in for a look at the lake and soon realised the error of its ways and buggered off again.
