It's finally happened!! A Black-winged stilt has turned up!! During a promising day on the mound with good Hirundine and Yellow Wagtail movement the highlight so far had been a Cuckoo which landed on Hangmans. Having to go home to finish some work, the phone goes off, the name displayed is ZACH!! Uh oh!! this boy is turning into one of the best birders i know and normally when he phones it's good news. Well he and Anand had bumped into this beast in the South East corner. The last one was in 1955!! What a tick - well done boys
